Fremont County Department of Public Health and Environment: New Location and Phone Number
Fremont County Public Health offices will be moving to a new location in February. We will be relocating to the Fremont County Garden Park building, 201 N. 6th Street in Cañon City (located across the street from the Fremont County Administration building). Our last date of operation on Justice Center Road will be January 30th. We will re-open for business at the new location on Monday, February 9th.
Also please note that our agency name has changed to Fremont County Department of Public Health and Environment. As of the date above Environmental Health Services will become part of Public Health and will also be moving to the new location at 201 N. 6th Street.
In February our new general number will be 719-276-7450. Fax line will be 719-276-7451.

New State Child Welfare Hotline Number
The Colorado Department of Human Services has launched a new statewide child abuse and neglect hotline:
This hotline is designed to provide one, easy-to-remember phone number for individuals to use statewide to report suspected child abuse and neglect. The hotline serves as a direct route to Colorado's 64 counties and two tribal nations, which are responsible for accepting and responding to child abuse and neglect inquiries and reports. All callers will be able to speak with a call-taker 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

FREMONT COUNTY EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR
Fremont County Elected Officials named Marty Keen as the Fremont County Employee of the Year for 2014. Marty does a great job, and her co-workers notice and appreciate her contributions. She is currently a Deputy Assessor. As stated in her nomination letters:
