Provides support services and assists in maintaining the Fremont County Municipal Airport. Provides support services to aircraft using the airport.


Assists airport manager during emergency situations, stands in for the manager and follows established emergency protocol in his absence. Performs semi-skilled maintenance and repair work throughout the airport facilities and grounds. Performs janitorial duties in maintenance and administrative areas. Operates a variety of light/heavy equipment (e.g. mowers, snow removal equipment, tractors, backhoes, front end loaders, four wheel drives, service vehicles, aircraft towing equipment, etc.) used in preparation and maintenance of airport grounds and facilities. Assists with all lawn care, landscaping grounds prep and maintenance. Assists with aircraft fueling, parking and placement. Responds to aircraft incidents and accidents according to established protocol. Performs minor office accounting procedures on a daily or weekly basis including cash and charge slips. Policing all areas of the airport making sure the facility is free of trash and safety hazards. Greets the public and assists private and commercial pilots. Provides information about wind speed, wind direction and runway conditions. Share in telephone and radio communications.


High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Requirements: 

Valid Colorado driver's license required. Successful completion of aviation fuel training.
