Summary: 

This is a specialized position providing in-home services such as Home-Based Intervention and Intensive Family Therapy to participants in the Family Treatment Drug Court Program. This position provides a variety of services including therapeutic intervention typically with all family members, concrete services, collateral services and crisis intervention directed to meet the needs of the child and family, to improve family communication, functioning and relationships.

Duties: 

This is a specialized position providing in-home services such as Home-Based Intervention and Intensive Family Therapy to participants in the Family Treatment Drug Court Program. This position provides a variety of services including therapeutic intervention typically with all family members, concrete services, collateral services and crisis intervention directed to meet the needs of the child and family, to improve family communication, functioning and relationships.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree with a major in a human behavioral sciences field. Major course work is the equivalent of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in either development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures or therapeutic techniques. Examples of such major course work are social work, psychology, sociology, guidance and counseling, and child development.

Additional Requirements: 

Experience:

Level II – Minimum of one year of full-time professional caseworker experience acquired after the degree in a public or private social services agency.

Level III – Two years full time, professional, paid experience obtained after the degree in a public or private social services agency.

Level IV – Three years full time, professional, paid experience obtained after the degree in a public or private social services agency.

Substitutions:

A master’s degree in social work or human behavioral sciences field may substitute for one year of work experience.

A valid Colorado driver’s license, vehicle in safe operating condition, liability insurance. Must be physically present within the geographical boundaries of Fremont County when performing on-call duties. 
Must be able to pass a nationwide background check.
