Summary: 

Supervises a unit that provides Child Welfare services for a county department, which includes child abuse, youth in conflict, foster care, core services, expedited permanency planning and/or adoptions.

Duties: 

Supervises a unit that provides Child Welfare services for a county department, which includes child abuse, youth in conflict, foster care, core services, expedited permanency planning and/or adoptions.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree with a major in a human behavioral sciences field. Major course work is the equivalent of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in either development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures or therapeutic techniques.  Examples of such major course work are social work, psychology, sociology, guidance and counseling, and child development.

Additional Requirements: 

Minimum three years full time, professional, paid experience obtained after the degree in the field.

A valid Colorado driver’s license, vehicle in safe operating condition, liability insurance. Must be physically present within the geographical boundaries of Fremont County when performing on-call duties. Computer examination may be required.
Must be able to pass a nationwide background check.
