The Treasurer’s Office will not accept a personal check or credit card payment for redemption of tax liens. Redemption payments MUST be cash, certified funds, such as a Bank Cashier’s Check or Bank issued Money Order.

Business checks may be accepted but will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

This policy becomes effective July 11, 2013.

Payment of Subsequent Tax Liens
When Applying for a Treasurer's Deed

UPON APPLICATION for a Treasurer's Deed, ALL SUBSEQUENT Tax Liens Must be Redeemed.

The entire amount paid to redeem said lien(s) will be added to the redemption figures of the Treasurer's Deed Applicant.

In the event current year assessed taxes become due and payable prior to the issuance of the Treasurer's Deed, it will be necessary for the tax deed applicant to pay those current taxes prior to the issuance of the Treasurer's Deed.
